*I think I will be posting about my Insanity fitness for the next two months, so prepare yourself, followers. I know I haven’t been on in a while.
I just started the Insanity program today, and it was not as bad as I thought it would be. I mean, I had to stop throughout every exercise and couldn’t finish a few, but the whole point is that I kept going.
- Switch kicks: 44 reps
- Power jacks: 32
- Power knees: 57
- Power jumps: 23 (I just… I can’t jump)
- Globe jumps: 7 (not as bad as I thought)
- Suicide jumps: 5 (literal suicide)
- Push-up jacks: 13 (keep in mind that I can’t bend my arms when attempting a push-up)
- Low plank oblique: 15
I think by the power jumps, my face was completely red and unattractive haha. I didn’t follow the stretching at the end to a T, as I just did the stretches that I learned when I did track one winter in high school.
I know that I’m getting an intense workout when my throat starts to feel like it has asthma. I bought a gym membership to Planet Fitness and have been going there, but my throat just has not been getting that weird feeling. Today, that weird feeling was back. Not too sure if I’m happy about it or sad, but either way I know I’m getting a good workout in!
I’ll also post my measurements every time I do the Fit Test, too.
- Chest: 36”
- Left bicep: 11”
- Right bicep: 12” (don’t ask me why the two are different)
- Waist: 31”
- Hips: 39”
- Left thigh: 24”
- Right thigh: 24”
- Left calf: 14”
- Right calf: 14”
- Weight: 146 lbs
My highest weight so far has been 155. Current is 146. Goal is 130. Overall goal is 122.
If I don’t get to these weights and gain muscle mass instead, I would also be fine with that, as long I can fit into my pants again!
I’m kind of scared to see what Day 2 has in store for me, but I’m all ready! I just want to be confident in my body again.
